GENE EXPRESSION PROFILING
ACRI scientists are looking for the ‘red flags’ that identify a cancer cell (so called biomarkers) using cDNA microarray technology (AMF), which permits the identification of cancer-specific genes due to changes in their levels in cancer cells versus normal cells. In addition, ACRI has teamed with scientists at the National Research Council to apply novel mathematical algorithms to the analysis of gene expression data derived from cDNA microarrays to zero-in on important cancer biomarkers.
