Sample Submission Procedure
Researchers provide either tissue or cell samples (Start
1), total RNA or mRNA (Start 2) to the facility for a microarray experiment.
If the amount of total RNA is less than 10μg, the facility has the
resources to amplify the RNA. All mRNA samples undergo a quality control
check before continuing the experiment. At this point, mRNA of sufficient
quality can be labelled and hybridized. Samples can be hybridized
to custom arrays or any other spotted arrays.
Final scan results will be provided (End B). In addition,
we can provide further data analysis of the scan images obtained at
AMF and elsewhere (Start 3).
